While we’ve covered reviews on nearly any type of concealed carry holster you could imagine, we know that not everyone likes the idea of their firearm directly attached to their body. While many of the ladies out there can carry a small handgun in their purse or bag, what do the men get? We’ve put together this review of the best concealed carry backpacks available (for both men and women), and we’ll let you know what we think is the best option for the everyday gunowner.
We did provide options for anyone who is interested in only concealing one firearm at a time, but most backpacks on the market are designed to transport multiple guns as well as accessories or additional gear. Concealed carry backpacks can be utilized for a lot of purposes: day-long hunting excursions, camping/hiking trips, or transporting your gear to new destinations. Before you make a purchase, make sure you are fully educated on any laws and restrictions on carrying in your area or any areas you may travel to.
Materials – The Red Rover Outdoor Gear Rover Sling Pack, despite costing very little, is probably one of the most convenient and simplistically designed concealed carry backpacks available online. The pack is made of polyester, and it comes in a multitude of colors and patterns including black, coyote tan, dark earth, olive, olive with red lining, woodland digital, and ACU. The backpack has one large compartment, which includes an inner Velcro closure for holding tablets and iPads. The front has a medium and small pocket for additional storage. In the rear of the backpack is a concealed carry sleeve with a snap closure. The single sling strap makes this backpack ambidextrous, and it is adjustable. Almost the entire backpack is covered with MOLLE webbing for adding pouches and gear to the exterior.
Performance – The Red Rock Outdoor Gear Rover Sling Pack is easily one of our favorite packs on the market, and we consider it to be one of the most inconspicuous options available. This style of pack is very ideal for the average gunowner who is genuinely interested in having a concealed carry weapon while going about their day, as many other options aren’t designed for carrying every-day items. The concealed carry pouch in the back of the pack is very discrete and fully padded for comfort. Anybody should have no problem carrying this backpack around while walking, riding in transportation, etc. Plus, a quick reach to your back is all it takes to unleash your firearm when necessary!
What we say – The Red Rock Outdoor Gear Rover Sling Pack varies in price, depending on the color you pick, but the price ranges from around $25 to $35. This is a great deal for any backpack, let alone a concealed carry pack.

Materials – The Condor 3 Day Assault Pack, if you couldn’t tell from the name, has much longer durations of time in mind. A much larger army assault pack, this option has a total of seven compartments: a main compartment with gear straps and additional mesh pockets; a second compartment with small pockets for maps, radios, and pens; two large rear pockets, two side pockets, and a hydration compartment. The hydration compartment holds up to two 3L hydration bladders. The main compartment fits multiple concealed carry weapons plus additional gear, and it’s closed with double-pull zippers. There are compression straps on each side of the back pack for extra security, and the shoulder straps are extra padded to combat the weight. There is also padding in the rear for airflow and additional comfort.
Performance – Wearing the Condor 3 Day Assault Pack can potentially add a lot of strain to the body, but Condor has kept that in mind while designing this backpack. All of the additional padding is very appreciated on this design. We could see ourselves going on long, multi-day hunting trips or even more casual camping trips with this backpack. Even if you’re stranded in the middle of nowhere, as long as you have those hydration bladders in place, you won’t have to worry for a second. With all of this in mind, we really suggest only purchasing it if your lifestyle requires this type of backpack. Even if you don’t fill all of the compartments, this pack can add a lot of weight all on its own. If you need to carry multiple pistols with you, then this is a worthy choice to look into. If you are looking for something to go hunt with there are other bags with camo more suitable.
What we say – The Condor 3 Day Assault Pack costs around $70-$80 online, depending on which color you purchase it in. You can expect all of your belongings to be totally secure in this baby.

- Holds multiple weapons and gear
- Low cost for this type

Materials – The VooDoo Tactical Discreet Level III Assault Pack is made mainly of nylon and comes in either black or bronze. The overall look of this concealed carry backpack is significantly more discrete and low profile than most other backpacks intended to carry multiple weapons and items. It is composed of two large compartments, with pockets for firearms and accessories, and two smaller pockets for additional gear. There is no MOLLE webbing over the exterior of this backpack, unlike many other designs, but there is some webbing on the side for a couple of additional items. The back panel is padded and molded for comfort.
Performance – We consider the VooDoo Tactical Discreet Level III Assault Pack a happy medium between the two previous options in this review. The design of this pack is low profile enough to look like a regular backpack, but it has just enough pockets and compartments to hold both everyday items and accessories for your concealed carry. Being made of almost entirely nylon, this backpack is pretty durable for almost any situation, and the extra padding in the rear and on the shoulders allows the owner to wear this throughout the day. There’s nothing that offers a “wow” factor on this concealed carry backpack, and we happen to like that in this case.
What we say – The VooDoo Tactical Discreet Level III Assault Pack costs between $90 and $110 online, depending on where you purchase it from and what color you select. Anyone can store concealed carry weapons in this bag along with an extra day’s clothing, some books, or extra gear.

- Multiple compartments and pockets
- Holds multiple weapons
- Very low profile
- No MOLLE webbing
- Rugged nylon construction

Materials – The G.P.S. Tactical Range Backpack is designed for the toughest weather, terrain, and long distance travel. To start, this backpack features three internal handgun storage bags that discretely slide in and out through the side. There are four zippered pockets for storing additional gear and accessories. The MOLLE webbing system on the exterior of the backpack is triple stitched, and there’s even an external bungee system for transporting targets. Inside of this pack is a honeycomb frame for the strongest stability and even distribution of weight while it’s being worn. There’s even a pullout rain cover for surprise thunderstorms.
Performance – If you’re a serious camper, or you live in an area with strict regulations on transportation, this is the backpack for you. The G.P.S. Tactical Range Backpack clearly has rough weather conditions in mind, as it has been designed to withstand downpours and extreme temperatures. We love the handgun storage system in the side compartment, which possibly makes it the best concealed carry backpack available today. Even down to how the zipper pulls are designed, the designers at G.P.S. have made the Tactical Range Backpack one of the best functioning packs out there. The price for this product is certainly a little high; but, considering everything included in the purchase, it’s a great deal for the money.
What we say – The G.P.S. Tactical Range Backpack costs around $130 online. Despite being the most expensive option in this review, if you frequently need to transport multiple concealed carry weapons, this is a wise investment you should make.
- Well hidden handgun storage bags
- Pull out rain cover
- MOLLE webbing
- Honeycomb interior structure
- Most expensive option
- Made in USA

Our Favorite Concealed Carry Backpack
After much debate, we decided the best concealed carry backpack in this review is the VooDoo Tactical Discreet Level III Assault Pack. Mainly, we chose this option because it combines the ability to carry multiple weapons and items while maintaining the profile of a regular backpack. This is a concealed carry review, after all. We don’t want to give away to the public that we’re carrying multiple weapons. The material in this backpack is durable, fairly weather resistant, and it has enough room to carry other objects too. This backpack will be a great option for taking along while hunting, camping, or simply traveling across town.
